The Yacht Club of Marina de Portimao is a nonprofit institution that aims to promote cultural, sporting and recreational, developing and stimulating the taste for water sports, recreation and competition.
The ICMP is designed for areas: Training of Skippers, Sail Academy, Speedboats, Surf, Kitesurf, Windsurf, and Big Game Fishing.
The ICMP has been the host of several

events, the International Sailing Championship - Class 52Transpac, Powerboats P1, and the International Championship of Big Game Fishing have been some major events that have passed the marina and that the club organized and supported.
This year, once again the ICMP will be the host club of several sports events (See events 2008).
