With 620 moorings available for rental for short and long stays, the Marina de Portimão can receive boats up to 50m long, drawing a maximum of 5 meters. The moorings are equipped with 16/32/63 amp. electricity and water; there is a daily collection of rubbish and oil. The entrance to the Marina is easy to access given that it is the most ample in Portugal. This Marina provides a variety of sea-related tourist activities.
The Marina de Portimão Boatyard, which covers a total area of 20.000 m2, is located in the Portimão Fishing Port and is equipped with a “travel lift “ with a lifting capacity for boats up to 300 tons and also catamaran up to 9 meters beam, offering a vast range of quality services.

The Marina Portimão SurfSkiTraining Centre, located in the Santa Catarina Fort in the Marina de Portimão, was started by Rui Aguiar, Orlando Silva, Diogo Fazenda and Luís Ventura at the end of 2009, one of the most recent aquatic sports supported by the Marina de Portimão.
The practice of this type of canoeing, called Surf-Ski, is appropriate for all ages.

In 2010, the Portimão SurfSki Race of Champions took place in the Marina de Portimão, during the weekend of 4-5 September.
Some of the world’s most well-known Surf-Skiers participated in this international event.

We are very pleased with the re-edition of this event, also in early September, that will also include a Life Saving Race, a spectacular race.
